At a leading US brokerage firm, analysts spent substantial time computing and reporting investment information to their clients. Clients would speak with a representative about savings levels, investment strategies, and possible returns. The brokerage firm wanted to provide their analysts with a web-based tool to aid in the discussion with clients. The brokerage eventually planned to provide the tool directly to client HR and benefits services staff, thus saving the clients’ time and the brokerage firm’s effort.
Lokitech reengineered and migrated a brokerage-developed investment planning and reporting tool. The software, accessed through a web browser, enables a person to change savings levels and investment mix to determine optimal accumulation strategy. After Lokitech’s work, the analysts at the firm used the web-based application to help callers better understand their asset structure and make more informed investment decisions.
